What are all the features of the Homeowner Proposal?
The final step of the FastQuote tool is the proposal.
Our proposals are of carefully designed to be of visual high-quality and are personalized for your clients.
Upon completing a FastQuote, a proposal is generated and can be sent directly to the homeowner’s email, detailing all the required information for the desired system.
What is included in the proposal?
- Contact details of the assigned contractor and firm
- Location of installation
- Estimated start date and duration of installation
- Total price of installation
- A price breakdown detailing what the homeowner will pay and when
- A material list of all product parts required (when selected on step 7 of the fastquote)
- Attached assets including photos of the homeowner’s home
- A proposal note from the contractor
Clients have the option to either accept or decline the proposal, or select an option titled “I need more help”, if they have further questions.
What is NOT included in the proposal?
The homeowner will not see the following:
- Markup rates, distributor pricing or any unit costs. The only cost they see is the total amount.
- Any notes you've added on the details page of the fastquote about the home such as pets or other cautions, etc.
- If not selected, the homeowner will not see the material list.
What are the different proposal statuses?
On your "my proposals" page, you'll see the list of all proposals you've created and saved.
Through the process of creating and sending a proposal, there are several statuses:
- ‘Draft’ - The default status when a proposal is generated.
- ‘Sent’ - When a proposal is sent to the homeowner. It can no longer be edited - this is for audit trails. Pricing and all information are locked as a moment in time.
- ‘Cancelled’ - The creator may cancel a proposal in response to an error they have made. A mandatory “reason” is required to cancel the proposal.
- ‘Rejected’ - When the proposal is rejected by the homeowner. They will be asked to give a reason and optional further comments.
- ‘Superseded’ - After sending the proposal, the creator may need to make changes to it. As outlined in the ‘sent’ status, the proposal is locked at the point it is sent. The creator will be able to duplicate an existing proposal and make changes to it. This action changes the proposal state to “superseded” and will store the new proposal ID that is generated against the old superseded proposal.
- ‘Accepted’ - When a proposal is accepted by a homeowner.
