Distributor Pricing Requests

Pricing Confidentiality Note:

A contractor must be "pinned" with their distributor in order to access their pricing.

The PIN system prevents contractors from easily price shopping between distributors. We want the technology to reflect reality; relationships can't be developed through the app unless they already exist in person.

Input Pricing on a Select Material List

When a contractor is on the final step of creating a FastQuote, they can view specific distributor pricing for any distributor they are “pinned” with by selecting the “Apply List Price” button. 

• Note: A contractor must have an active relationship with the distributor in order to access their pin to view pricing in the app. The pin system is how we maintain barriers on distributor pricing.

Requesting Pricing for a Material List

From the same Fastquote page, contractors can request specific pricing for the material list in their proposal by clicking the “Request” button.

• A pop-up will appear, allowing contractors to send a request for pricing directly to the distributor's email inbox.

Viewing and Responding to Pricing Requests

Once a request is submitted, the distributor can view it in their “Pricing Requests” portal within the app. 

• By selecting the request, distributors will access a summary page of the contractor's job and material list where they can input custom pricing for each line item
