How is cfm measured?

To measure CFM (cubic feet per minute), a Turbo Meter by Davis instrument is used. This meter is placed over the outlet opening and the airflow is measured in knots. A conversion chart is provided to easily determine the CFM using the knot measurement. The Turbo Meter is the only method that has been tested and proven to accurately measure air flow.
