Can any condenser or heat pump work with a Unico system?

Most condensing units from different manufacturers will work well in terms of performance. However, it's important to note that there may be a slight decrease in efficiency and BTU capacity under certain conditions. This is because we operate at a lower airflow rate of 250 cubic feet per minute per ton, compared to the standard 400, which affects the BTU capacity. On the other hand, the Unico duct system operates at a higher duct static pressure, resulting in a lower airflow rate per watt. By considering the SEER formula (BTUH / WATTS), we can see that the Unico duct system delivers BTUs more efficiently to the space, ultimately regaining efficiency and capacity due to its superior design.
