This article explains each type of user and what each type means. For an understanding of access and permissions within the App, see this article.
User Groups
The user groups of the UnicoSales App are divided mainly by business type, and are either Admins or Users, with varying access levels based on their role:
Super Admins & Unico Admins
Super Admins and Unico Admins have full access to all parts of the app, except user rates (refer to the permissions article for details).
Admins
Admins are HVAC professionals typically responsible for managing teams and inviting staff to use the app. They can edit user details, add new users, and partner companies. Admins may include heads or admins of distributing companies, contracting firms, rep groups, or Unico managers.
Users
Users are HVAC professionals who work under a supervisor or as self-employed individuals. They are invited to the app by an Admin. Users may include distributors, contractors, rep sales managers, or Unico employees.
The full layout of the app’s users are as follows:
Super Admins
Super Admins are Partner companies with Unico involved in the development of the app, who have full access, in order to support all users.
Unico Admins
Unico Admins are senior-level members of staff at Unico who have full access, in order to support all users.
Unico Users
Unico Users are employees of Unico, who have limited access compared to Unico Admins, but are still able to support users.
Rep Group Admins
Rep Group Admins are senior-level members of staff at a Rep Company, who have access to all main features and those specific to their field, and who are able to control who from their team have access to the app.
Rep Sales Managers
Rep Sales Managers are representatives employed by either a Rep Company or Unico, under a team led by Rep Group Admins or Unico Admins. They have access to all main features and those specific to their field, but limited access compared to Rep Group Admins/Unico Admins.
Distributor Admins
Distributor Admins are senior-level members of staff at a Distributing Company, who have access to all main features and those specific to distributors, and who are able to control who from their team have access to the app.
Distributor Users
Distributor Users are distributors employed by Distributing Companies, under a team led by Distributor Admins. They have access to all main features and those specific to distributors, but limited access compared to Distributor Admins.
Contractor Admins
Contractor Admins are senior-level members of staff at a Contracting Firm, who have access to all main features and those specific to contractors, and who are able to control who from their team have access to the app.
Contractor Users
Contractor Users are contractors employed by either a Contracting Firm under a team led by Contracting Admins, or are self-employed. They have access to all main features and those specific to contractors, but limited access compared to Contractor Admins.
